18 Evaluation of Site for Seed Processing Centers in Central and East Java, Riau, Bengkulu, South Kalimantan and North Sulawesi Provinces.
The objective of the Project is to evaluate the suitability of proposed sites for the Seed Processing Centers and examine an alternative site in case the proposed site is not feasible. The services provided are to examine land availability; study the availability of potential seed growers for each crops (rice, corn, soybean, mungbean, etc.) surrounding the area; check availability of transportation; and study potential demand of high quality seed for each crop.

45 National Park Investment (Package A) in Seven National Parks in Indonesia under Forestry II Loan.

54 Mangrove Rehabilitation and Management Project in Sulawesi.
The Project aims to protect the coastal environment and to reduce poverty among coastal communities by maintaining the ecological functions and the manifold economic benefits of mangroves through: (i) formulation of a national strategy and an action plan for the development of mangroves; and (ii) with respect to selected areas of Sulawesi. The project scope includes the following main components: (a) national strategy and action plan for mangroves, (b) spatial land use planning and mapping (c) social preparation and awareness program, (d) trial rehabilitation and pilot testing, (e) management planning and preparation of an investment project, and (f) institutional strengthening. 55 Agricultural Development Component under Groundwater Development Project.

56 Study on Community Collaboration in Re-forestation and Forest Conservation.
The objective of the project is conducting a study on the impact of slash-and-burn agriculture, including the shifting cultivation. The ultimate objective of this study is to identify appropriate activities, which help enlist collaboration in the reforestation and forest conservation by slash-and-burn practitioners. Result of the study will be used to (i) explore the potentials for promoting the community collaboration in reforestation and forest conservation programs, and (ii) identify the factors and activities necessary to bring this about.

The objective of the project is to prepare a Project that can integrate the environmental and socioeconomic development concerns in the Project area. The Project concept is based on the premise that improving the management of existing cultivated areas around Lore-Lindu National Park and the economic welfare of its surrounding communities could give prospects for the long-term conservation of the natural resources essential to sustaining the local economy. Restoration of Support Services: The activities include (i) capacity building of institutions and human resources, (ii) recruitment of agricultural graduates, (iii) training of about 250 new and 350 existing staff in the participatory extension methodologies, land use planning, crop production, and remedial measures to counteract salinization and other tsunami related issues, and (iv) rehabilitation of key agricultural facilities, and provision of equipment and vehicles.

The majority of the MSS indicators are therefore to be measured at the school level. The survey also collect from districts information regarding the provision of schools to ensure equitable access, the provision of supervisors to ensure quality assurance and the extent to which district planning and budgeting sipports schools in the delivery of education. The development objectives of the Evaluation of International Standard Schools are to contribute towards achieving medium to long term social and economic national development goals through the development/adjustment of policies, strategies and programs for improving school level education quality. The definition of an ISS in the MoEC guidelines is that it ‘fulfills all the National Standards for Education (NSE) and is further enriched by taking into consideration the education standards of one member nation of the OECD and/or another advanced nation such that it achieves competitive advantage internationally. In addition to the NSE the guidelines specify other quality standards to be met including, among others, accreditation by an accreditation body in an OECD member state; curriculum content standard equivalent or higher than that taught in an OECD member state; the use of English as the medium of instruction for science, mathematics and vocational subjects from grade 4 of primary school; English competency of teachers in these subjects; English competency of school principals; and access to ICT based learning resources.

30 The Education Sector-Analytical and Capacity Development Partnership (ES-ACDP) Package-016: Linking the Master Plan for Acceleration and Expansion of Economic Development (MP3EI) to Programming in the Education Sector
The Master Plan for Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia’s Economic Development (MP3EI) establishes a vision for the nation to achieve high rates of broad-based economic growth and to become one of the world’s ten largest economies by 2025. The MP3EI specifies six economic corridors, each with an economic development strategy which has been formulated in accordance with the economic comparative advantage of the corridor. The study will identify approaches to projecting manpower needs in each of the six economic corridors of the MP3EI, and identify educational strategies to address projected manpower needs to 2025. It will also examine capacity needs and organizational challenges facing Indonesia’s education sector in relation to human capital development and identify strategies to overcome these issues. The
study will prepare a set of policy recommendations to improve future programming in the education sector to achieve the vision of the MP3EI.

12 Enabling Activities to Facilitate Early Action on the Implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP’s) in Indonesia
The project activities are grouped to describe the existing situation in Indonesia in terms of the managerial, technical and social infrastructure that is in place, or intended to be put in place, for the preparation of the National Implementation Plan (NIP) for the phase out of POP’s in accordance with the Stockholm Convention. 13 Western Java Environmental Management Project: Kabupaten Bandung Local Environmental Strategy
The Kabupaten Bandung Local Environmental Strategy (KBLES) is an important structural part of the overall WJEMP. The WJEMP to be designed strategy will incorporate national and provincial policies and reflect local level concerns. The main objectives of KBLES are to identify the main regional and local environmental pollution and resource management issues affecting the study area; to examine regional linkages and characteristics of the environmental pollution and resource management issue; to prepare a prioritized set of local policies and proposals to manage, mitigate and reduce some of the adverse environmental pollution and resource management issues affecting the study area; to provide a justification and context for further studies and other projects with WJEMP; to ensure that the local government, the local community, local business and commerce, and the universities are made aware of the issues and become actively involved in working together to manage, mitigate and reduce the environmental pollution and resource management issues; to establish an effective monitoring and annual recording system as a means of determining the effectiveness of the environmental policies and proposals.
